EBSCO Information Services and eReserve partner to streamline resource management workflows with EBSCO FOLIO -

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO), a leading provider of research databases, e-journals, and discovery services, has joined forces with eReserve to enhance institutions' resource management workflows through the implementation of EBSCO FOLIO Services. This partnership aims to streamline resource management processes, including copyright control, and promote collaboration among institutions, all while delivering an enhanced student experience.

In today's digital era, selecting, organizing, and delivering educational resources in a digital format have become essential functions for institutions. The ability to provide such resources digitally not only encourages collaboration but also facilitates easy resource management, advanced copyright control, and an improved student experience. Recognizing the significance of these factors, eReserve has developed a platform based on copyright best practices that offers institutions a clear, defensible position against the growing threat of copyright litigation, while simultaneously enhancing student engagement and success.

eReserve leverages metadata and license information from EBSCO FOLIO Services and EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) to ensure accurate reporting and management of copyright materials, simplifying digital distribution and ensuring legal compliance. Furthermore, eReserve Plus provides valuable features such as reading lists, resource usage data, and enhanced acquisition processes through GOBI® Library Solutions from EBSCO (GOBI Library Solutions).

Tim Darlington, Associate University Librarian at Massey University, emphasizes the freedom and customization offered by FOLIO's collaborative nature. As a user of both eReserve Plus and FOLIO, Massey University welcomes the integration of these two products through the collaboration between EBSCO and eReserve.

Karey Patterson, CEO and Managing Director of eReserve, underscores the increasing demand for safe and efficient digital delivery of educational resources. The transformative impact of the digital revolution, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has prompted institutions to reimagine how they discover and distribute resources.

By collaborating with eReserve, EBSCO Information Services aims to provide institutions with a comprehensive and efficient resource management solution that empowers librarians, enhances student learning, and ensures copyright compliance. This partnership exemplifies the commitment of both organizations to advancing academic research and supporting educational institutions in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
