EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and PTFS Europe have partnered to support libraries adopting the FOLIO Library Services Platform (LSP). The EBSCO and PTFS Europe partnership will provide hosting and local support services for FOLIO libraries in the United Kingdom. PTFS Europe supports libraries using Koha and other open source resources. By supporting FOLIO libraries, PTFS Europe will help increase the adoption of FOLIO and provide additional services to their current customers. PTFS Europe has a long-established track record of implementing, hosting and supporting open source library management solutions in the UK and Europe.
EBSCO supports FOLIO with funding, developers and project management. EBSCO is also offering hosting services and advanced software support, as well as a variety of data integration services for libraries adopting the FOLIO LSP, and the company is partnering with services providers around the world.
FOLIO is an open source platform created by a community of librarians, developers and vendors to support traditional ILS functionality with the ability to add additional value and services. The applications are modular and allow multiple vendors or libraries to contribute applications.
