EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has partnered with Faculty of Arts Press, Charles University in Prague, a Czech university publisher, to make its e-books accessible via EBSCO eBooks™. The first of a few collections to be made available in EBSCO eBooks is from the Varia edition series that contains more than 30 titles and includes scientific monographs in Czech, as well as in English and other languages.
This new partnership will enable students to easily gain access to valuable and diverse content in the field of humanities taught and researched at the Faculty of Arts including: Linguistics, Literary Science, History, Social Sciences, East Asian Studies and Ethnology.
EBSCO eBooks offers more than 700,000 e-books and audiobooks. EBSCO proactively acquires new content in critical areas, based on the dynamic needs of libraries. Accessing the EBSCOhost™ platform for e-books and audiobooks saves librarians training time and adds a well-known search platform to the end user's experience. Allowing end users to search for e-books and audiobooks along with their EBSCOhost® database content improves the discoverability of library collections. Lowering the cost for libraries makes the decision to focus on or add to e-book and audiobook collections easier and more cost-effective.
