EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and Masaryk University Press have collaborated to offer more than 80 Czech titles via EBSCO eBooks. The titles from Masaryk University Press will provide libraries with more multidisciplinary Czech titles representing a wide range of fields – including social science, historiography, linguistics and literary science, archaeology, genetics and many others – from highly specialised scientific publications to significant books aimed at the general public.
With 400 new titles of books and e-books and 50 scholarly journals released annually, Masaryk University Press claims to be one of the most productive academic publishers in the Czech Republic. Its publications in both Czech and foreign languages cover a broad spectrum of disciplines (from humanities and social sciences to science and medicine). As a department of Masaryk University, its publishing activities further the University's objectives of excellence in scholarship, research and education, supporting quality, standard and credibility of academic outputs.
