EIFL and Cambridge University Press renew agreement through 2026 -

EIFL and Cambridge University Press have renewed their agreement for a further year, extending the partnership until December 2026. The renewed agreement continues to provide free and discounted access to Cambridge University Press journals, along with open access publishing opportunities for eligible countries.

Under the agreement, institutions in 13 EIFL partner countries are eligible for free read access to 423 Cambridge University Press journal titles, while institutions in six additional partner countries qualify for discounted access. The agreement also includes waived Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publishing in 199 Gold open access, 39 Research Open, and 179 hybrid Cambridge University Press journals for corresponding authors from 24 EIFL partner countries.

Corresponding authors from two additional EIFL partner countries are eligible for a 50% discount on article processing charges when publishing open access in Cambridge University Press journals. The renewed arrangement also offers discounted article processing charges across the same range of Gold open access, Research Open, and hybrid journals.

The agreement includes a transformative read-and-publish option, providing pricing for 12 EIFL partner countries that choose to participate. This option combines journal read access with unlimited open access publishing in Cambridge University Press Gold open access, Research Open, and hybrid journals.

EIFL stated that the renewed agreement supports continued access to scholarly publications while expanding open access publishing opportunities across partner countries.
