eLife and SciScore partner to strengthen rigor and reproducibility in scientific publishing -

eLife, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of research communication and review, has announced a new partnership with SciScore, an advanced AI-powered tool designed to evaluate the rigor and reproducibility of scientific manuscripts. This collaboration aims to strengthen the transparency and reliability of research published in eLife’s prestigious journal.

As part of the partnership, authors submitting their work to eLife will receive access to SciScore’s comprehensive analysis at no additional cost. SciScore evaluates manuscripts based on key research reporting standards, such as NIH, MDAR, ARRIVE, CONSORT, and RRID. These standards ensure that essential methodological details, such as randomization, blinding, sample size estimation, and the authentication of biological resources, are thoroughly reported.

SciScore generates a detailed report and score for each manuscript, highlighting areas that may require improvement. This actionable feedback empowers authors to refine their work, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of methodological rigor and enhances the reproducibility of scientific findings.

This initiative reflects eLife's ongoing commitment to tackling the reproducibility crisis in science and improving research practices. By providing authors with tools like SciScore, eLife continues to promote transparency and robust reporting in scientific publishing, ultimately advancing the integrity and reliability of research worldwide.
