Elsevier and Journals of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) collaborate to launch the Heart Disease Healthcare Hub -

Elsevier, a renowned global leader in information and data analytics, has announced its latest collaboration with the JACC Journals (Journals of the American College of Cardiology) to introduce the Heart Disease Healthcare Hub. This newly launched hub stands as a curated clinical resource tailored explicitly for healthcare professionals in the field of cardiology.

The Heart Disease Healthcare Hub aims to serve as a comprehensive repository of clinical and educational cardiology content, continuously updated with new evidence-based resources throughout the year. Given the escalating concerns regarding cardiovascular diseases (CVD), as per the World Health Organization, which stands as the leading cause of global mortality, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's classification of heart disease as the primary cause of death in the United States, accounting for nearly 1 in every 5 cardiovascular disease-related deaths, the urgency to equip clinicians with critical resources is paramount.

This collaborative initiative aims to arm healthcare providers with essential tools for clinical review and patient education. The primary goal is to enhance patient outcomes by efficiently identifying individuals at the highest risk of CVD, ultimately striving for improved preventive measures and treatment strategies.

The Heart Disease Healthcare Hub offers a wide array of freely available evidence-based content from ClinicalKey, comprising clinical overviews, drug monographs, care plans, nursing skills, and patient education materials. By leveraging these resources, clinicians gain access to the latest evidence-based information on prevention and treatment options available to patients.

In addition to these resources, users can tap into the repository of the JACC Journals of the American College of Cardiology. The hub provides access to podcasts, journal articles, and case reports, serving as invaluable support for patients navigating heart disease.

The collaborative effort between Elsevier and the JACC Journals stands as a remarkable stride in catering to the needs of healthcare professionals in the cardiology field. This joint venture is designed not only to furnish healthcare providers with critical resources but also to transform the landscape of patient care, focusing on early identification, preventive measures, and optimal treatment strategies for cardiovascular diseases.
