Elsevier and SonoSim to expand ultrasound education into North American nursing market -

Elsevier, an information analytics company specializing in science and health, and SonoSim, Inc., a global provider of ultrasound education and training, have announced an agreement to expand ultrasound education into nursing programs in North America. The agreement aims to accelerate the adoption of bedside ultrasound and empower nurses to make faster, better decisions and avoid errors at the point of care through access to the most complete and trusted evidence-based ultrasound content.

The SonoSim Ultrasound Full Library - powered by Elsevier will include 58 SonoSimĀ® lessons, with topics including Anatomy & Physiology, Core Clinical, Advanced Clinical and Ultrasound-Guided Procedures.

SonoSim provides comprehensive ultrasound educational content to effectively teach nurses to evaluate many commonly encountered conditions in a non-invasive way. Clinical Solutions at Elsevier is focused on helping customers improve clinical outcomes. According to Cindy Tryniszewski, Vice President for Clinical Content, Clinical Solutions, Elsevier, this agreement with SonoSim allows Elsevier to provide nurses with a comprehensive suite of ultrasound education that will lead to providing better patient care.
