Elsevier announces publishing partnership with Peking University -

STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced a publishing partnership with Peking University. Under the deal, the global publisher will publish the Proceedings of the Beijing Forum from 2004 to 2008 in Procedia. Procedia is Elsevier’s e-only product publishing high quality conference proceedings. It enables fast dissemination so conference delegates can publish their papers in an online issue on ScienceDirect, which will then be made freely available worldwide.

The Beijing Forum is an international forum co-sponsored by Peking University, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Education and the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies, with support from the State Council of China, and the Beijing Municipal Government. First initiated in 2004, the Beijing Forum has hit its 6th meeting this year. The Forum seeks to promote academic development and social progress across the world.

The new publishing deal with Elsevier is projected to help the Forum reach a wider audience worldwide.
