STM publisher Elsevier has announced that it will collaborate with the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS) to develop and publish a WCTRS-co-branded series of books covering various topics in transportation.
The book series will focus on the latest research in emerging issues and opportunities in transportation planning, engineering, policy, management, economics and sustainability. Books in the series will take multidisciplinary, multimodal and multisectoral approaches to the topics, leading the way in bridging the gap between transportation research and practice.
The agreement calls for publication of both edited volumes and monographs. Books will be available in print and electronic formats, and hosted on Elsevier's ScienceDirect. The WCTRS has been a publishing collaborator with Elsevier's Transportation journal program since 1995, with Elsevier publishing the Society's official journals Transport Policy and Case Studies on Transport Policy as well as many other publications arising from WCTR conferences over the years.
