STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced a publishing partnership with the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research's (ISPOR). Under the deal, Elsevier will publish Value in Health, the official journal of the ISPOR.
Value in Health is a multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal reporting on outcomes research evaluations of medical technologies including pharmaceuticals, biologics, devices, medical procedures, and other healthcare interventions. The journal, published eight times a year, seeks to provide a scientific forum for communicating clinical, economic, and patient-reported outcomes research methods and findings.
Value in Health is also projected as a sounding board for the discussion of health policy issues related to health economics and outcomes research studies associated with all medical technologies. Topics include budget impact/cost-effectiveness/cost-utility/cost-benefit analysis, health utilities/preferences, patient-reported outcomes/health-related quality of life/health status research, health technology assessment, disease management, with study designs (prospective, retrospective, observational and clinical trials, and modeling), and critical reviews of existing literature.
