Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Limited, UK, has announced two new book deals with the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) and Login Canada Inc. The deals were announced at the ongoing Ontario Library Association (OLA) Super Conference 2010, Toronto, Ontario, February 24-27, 2010.
The publisher recently commenced a long term agreement with the OCUL consortium wherein the participating institutions have access to the entire e-book backlist and front list, both on the www.emeraldinsight.com and Scholar Portals platform.
Emerald has also signed a print distribution agreement with Login Canada Inc. for all Canadian libraries. Login Canada claims to be Canada’s premier book distributor of health sciences, scientific/technical, and trade books and electronic products. Under the distribution agreement, customers will benefit from swift local fulfillment of the titles on the Emerald list.
Conference delegates are invited to visit the Emerald Booth to discover the latest regarding Emerald books, including the 2010 front list. Mariam Hasan, Vice President, Canada, for Emerald, will be joined on the stand by John Eggleton, New Business Development Manager at Emerald.
