Academic publisher Emerald Group Publishing and Hangzhou Dianzi University (HDU) have entered into an agreement for strategic alliance in support of Emerald's Chinese Management Studies (CMS) journal.
The collaboration is an extension of an already established working relationship between the two organisations, as HDU is a valued customer of Emerald's online collection of academic journals. HDU and Emerald will pursue new opportunities centred around CMS, including support of an annual management conference at HDU.
CMS was first published in 2007; and, in less than a decade, it has become a prestigious journal indexed in the Thomson Reuters Social Science Citation Index and in Scopus.
The journal seeks to provide in-depth analysis of Chinese managerial thinking, philosophy and processes through empirical pieces on Chinese management, as well as interviews and dialogue to reflect current thinking on management by leading Chinese officials, academics and personalities.
Chinese Management Studies fosters research by Chinese scholars across China, as well as the work of international researchers. In doing so, it demonstrates the range of management research capabilities within China together with the interest shown in Chinese management around the globe.
