Emerald invited to take part in Kudos/ScholarOne pilot -

Academic publisher Emerald Group Publishing has announced that it is one of a select number of publishers to have been invited to take part in the pilot of a new partnership between Kudos and Thomson Reuters' ScholarOne.

Kudos is an online service - free for Emerald authors to use - that helps researchers and their institutions and funders maximise the visibility and impact of their published articles.

ScholarOne provides comprehensive workflow management systems for scholarly journals, books, and conferences. ScholarOne's web-based applications enable publishers and societies to manage the submission, peer review, production, and publication process more efficiently and access intelligent information to help make strategic decisions.

As part of the pilot, authors of one of Emerald's leading publications, British Food Journal (BFJ), will be asked at submission stage to provide a plain language explanation of their research via ScholarOne.

This is automatically delivered to the Kudos database, where the author is able to create a profile for their publication.

For Emerald and authors alike, this means wider dissemination of research, better discoverability, broader usage and potentially, greater impact – a fantastic addition to Emerald's author services!

Brought to you by Scope e-Knowledge Center, a world-leading provider of metadata services, abstraction, indexing, entity extraction and knowledge organisation models (Taxonomies, Thesauri and Ontologies).
