Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has signed an agreement with ASFOR, the Italian Association for the Development of Management Education. Effective June 1, 2010, this partnership enables both organisations to work together towards their common goals of supporting and developing management education and leadership.
For their first collaborative initiative, Emerald will sponsor a call for international best research papers on the theme 'Models of innovative leadership for a global and sustainable economy, remembering the late professor Claudio Dematte'. Winning papers will appear in the Association's official publication, Lettera Asfor.
ASFOR, which currently counts over 60 member institutions, focuses its activities on providing management training and promoting research and development programmes across Italy.
Emerald publishes over 700 titles, comprising 200 journals, over 300 books and more than 200 book series as well as an extensive range of online products and services. Emerald is both COUNTER 3 and TRANSFER compliant. The organisation is a partner of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and also works with Portico and the LOCKSS initiative for digital archive preservation.
