The acquisition includes more than 50 books, 14 peer-reviewed journals, and 28 serial titles from the Foundations and Trends® (FnT) collection. This portfolio includes several highly ranked journals, such as FnT Machine Learning, which holds a top position in Scimago's computer science category.
The addition strengthens Emerald’s existing journal offerings in business and economics while broadening its reach into adjacent disciplines. The Foundations and Trends® series, recognized for publishing extended surveys and monographs, is seen as a significant enhancement to Emerald’s content portfolio.
The decision to integrate with a larger organization was driven by the need to address evolving technological and market challenges. now publishers sought a partner aligned in editorial philosophy and capable of supporting its operational infrastructure.
