Academic publisher Emerald Publishing has received its Impact Factor results in the data release of the 2016 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) from Clarivate Analytics, with overall citations up by 41 percent.
Emerald has seen more journals accepted into the SSCI (Social Science Citation Index) this year, with seven journals having been accepted since January 2017 including the Journal of Health Organization and Management, which has received its first Impact Factor of 1.07.
The inclusion of Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics; International Journal of Bank Marketing; Journal of Product & Brand Management; Journal of Social Marketing; Marketing Intelligence & Planning; and Sustainability Accounting Management & Policy Journal represents a substantial increase in coverage for Emerald's journals collection, with over 40 percent of Emeralds Marketing journals now indexed in the SSCI.
Emerald's impressive Impact Factor performance follows hot on the heels of the news that Emerald remains - according to CiteScore - the publisher with the leading share of titles in the Business, Management & Accounting field, with over 16 percent of the sector. CiteScore claims to be one of a number of measures that help provide a holistic overview of a Scopus-indexed journal or serial title's performance in the index.
