Emerald Publishing has joined EBSCO’s GOBI Library Solutions platform, expanding global access to its book titles for academic and research libraries.
Thousands of libraries widely use GOBI as a centralized tool for purchasing, approval plans, and acquisitions workflows. With the integration, Emerald’s titles can now be discovered, evaluated, and ordered through the same system librarians already use to source content from leading publishers, reducing time and administrative effort.
The move enables Emerald’s books to be included in long-term vendor agreements and pre-committed budget plans, often underpinning GOBI’s approval processes. This means titles can be automatically recommended or acquired without requiring additional steps, offering particular value for institutions with limited capacity for title-by-title selection.
By placing its content within the platform where collection decisions are actively made, Emerald strengthens its competitive position in the library market while extending visibility for its authors. Their publications will now appear alongside works from other major publishers, increasing reach and readership across disciplines.
The integration is live, and Emerald titles are available directly through GOBI Library Solutions.
