EMpact Sales (EMpact), the publisher representation group of EBSCO, has announced that it has been chosen as sales agent by the Massachusetts Medical Society, publisher of the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) and Journal Watch. The agreement grants EMpact the rights to sell site license offerings to NEJM.org (includes current content, 1990 – present, and the NEJM Archive 1812-1944 and 1945-1989) and JWATCH.org in Germany, Poland, Austria, Spain and Portugal.
Owned by the Massachusetts Medical Society, NEJM publishes peer-reviewed research and interactive clinical content for physicians, educators and the global medical community. Journal Watch (JWATCH.org) helps physicians and allied health professionals save time and stay informed by providing brief, clearly written, clinically focused perspectives on the medical developments that affect practice. Physician editors in 13 specialty areas survey the medical literature select the most important research and guidelines, distill them into focused summaries, and frame them in a clinical context.
As part of the EBSCO group, EMpact brings to the sales process an expanded team of experienced sales and marketing personnel who have been working with publishers and libraries for many years. With the support of 31 fully staffed offices in 23 countries worldwide, EMpact's global reach makes it possible for content providers to take advantage of opportunities they might otherwise miss.
