EHP is a monthly, peer-reviewed journal of research and news published with support from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
In 2014, EHP received approximately 1,600 submissions and had an acceptance rate of 12 percent. Research articles are published within 3 working days of acceptance as Advance Publication articles and are citable using the Crossref Digital Object Identifier system. EHP's news content is prepared by science journalists and reviewed by subject matter experts.
Published since 1972, EHP has been online-only since January 2013. EHP is open access, and all content is available for free online.
