Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) and Digital Science have announced a new agreement that will see Dimensions and Altmetric Explorer for Institutions rolled out across the institution. Dimensions is a research information platform that enables users to search and analyze over 128 million research documents. In addition to Dimensions, Altmetric Explorer for Institutions provides in-depth online attention data for over 9 million research outputs.
Developed in partnership with over 100 leading research organisations around the world, including representatives from EUR, Dimensions enables users to explore over 4 billion connections between $1.3tn of grants, 360,000 clinical trials, over 90 million publications, 34 million patents, and their associated metrics. Powerful search, visualisations and reporting functionality make it easy to track research and funding trends, compare performance and research outcomes, and inform strategic planning.
Used in partnership with the Altmetric Explorer, which provides further insight into where and by whom research is being shared and discussed online, Erasmus will be able to gather a much more complete picture of the academic and broader impacts of their research and where it sits within a global context.
Both products will be available via site license access to users across the organisation.
