ETH Zurich selects Mendeley Institutional Edition to empower research programmes -

Information services provider Swets, Netherlands, and Mendeley have announced that the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology (ETH) in Zurich – under the aegis of the ETH library - has acquired a three year license for the Mendeley Institutional Edition (MIE). Consistently ranked one of the top universities in continental Europe, ETH Zurich is at the forefront of the world's research and education programmes in the fields of engineering and natural sciences.

ETH Zurich's 16 departments offer Bachelor, Master and Doctoral programmes and now all of their students and research staff can benefit from the MIE Teams package, which offers a host of collaboration enabling features for end users, including unlimited shared library space in the cloud for research groups.

The Mendeley Institutional Edition powered by Swets is an analytics tool, built on top of Mendeley's free end-user research platform, that helps librarians and other administrators to understand the research activity of their community and to facilitate collaboration within it. It combines the knowledge, guidance and expertise of the library with Mendeley's powerful reference management and social collaboration tools. The result is a unique and powerful online environment that will support the future of academic research.
