Ex Ordo and SPIE collaborate to streamline publishing workflows for partner conferences -

Ex Ordo, a provider of conference management solutions, has announced a new collaboration with SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, aimed at improving workflow efficiency for SPIE’s Conference Partner Program. The initiative is designed to support external conference organisers by simplifying the end-to-end process of preparing and publishing proceedings in the SPIE Digital Library.

SPIE’s Conference Partner Program enables optics and photonics events not directly managed by the society to disseminate their proceedings through the SPIE Digital Library, broadening the reach of presented research. The new partnership will allow these conferences to manage their full event lifecycle—including abstract submission, peer review, registration, and final proceedings delivery—through Ex Ordo’s integrated platform.

The collaboration is expected to automate core workflows, reduce administrative effort for organisers, and maintain SPIE’s established publication standards. Conference stakeholders, including authors, reviewers, and session chairs, will benefit from a unified system that facilitates a consistent and efficient experience from submission to publication.

This integration is positioned to enhance service offerings to SPIE’s conference partners while ensuring that final outputs meet the rigorous criteria required for inclusion in the SPIE Digital Library. The joint solution will launch in the upcoming summer season, with eligible partner conferences invited to adopt the platform as part of their publication workflow.
