The Company of Biologists has announced that the first institutions from Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA have joined their Read & Publish Open Access initiative.
The institutions are: Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) (Australia), University of Northern British Columbia (Canada), German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) (Germany), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands), and Montana State University (USA).
Researchers at these institutions can now publish an uncapped number of Open Access research articles without charge in Development, Journal of Cell Science and Journal of Experimental Biology. Unlimited access to the journals and their archives is also available.
