FOLIO community accepted to Google’s Season of Docs initiative -

FOLIO, an open source library services platform, has been accepted to Google’s Season of Docs initiative. Season of Docs is an effort to bring together technical writers and open source projects to foster collaboration and improve documentation in the open source space.

FOLIO is now seeking technical writers to contribute to the initiative on its behalf, working closely with the open source community. Writers will bring their technical writing expertise to the FOLIO project’s documentation while learning about the open source project and new technologies. Technical writers from around the world can apply to participate in Season of Docs. Those who apply and are accepted to the project will be assigned a mentor and receive a stipend from Google.

FOLIO is seeking technical writers to participate in the following projects: Expansion of end user documentation of FOLIO apps; Improvement of the developer experience when working with or contributing to FOLIO; and Creation of system administrator documentation for FOLIO implementations.

More details regarding the projects can be found at https://www.folio.org/about/news-events/article/folio-applies-for-googles-season-of-docs-and-seeks-technical-writers/.
