STM publisher Springer has announced that it has been publishing five scientific journals for the French National Institute for Agricultural Research INRA since the beginning of the year. The journals are Apidologie, Annals of Forest Sciences, Dairy Science and Technology, Agronomy for Sustainable Development and Veterinary Research (all in English).
Over the years, the five journals published by the institute have reportedly gained an excellent reputation in the scientific community. The number and the impact of the articles submitted by researchers from all over the world has considerably increased since the journals switched to English. The partnership with Springer will help ensure that the journals enjoy an even greater reach in the international scientific community.
Like INRA's journal Genetics Selection Evolution, which has been successfully published by BioMed Central since 2008, the journal Veterinary Research will also be published by BioMed Central as an open access journal. The expertise of the open access publisher BioMed Central and Springer should help Veterinary Research retain its first place among the veterinary journals listed by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI).
