Future Science announces remarkable growth for Bioanalysis in 2010 -

Future Science Ltd, part of Future Science Group, UK, has announced that journal Bioanalysis, launched in April 2009, underwent tremendous growth in 2010, expanding from nine issues in the first year to twelve in 2010 and received its first impact factor of 1.337 this year. The number of research articles more than doubled in 2010, increasing from 21 to 55. The same trend is also true for editorials (15 vs 32 for 2009 and 2010 respectively) – reflecting the niche that Bioanalysis fills, by providing a forum for high-quality research and discussion for this community.

Coverage of the journal is directed by two Senior Editors and an extensive international advisory panel. The two Senior Editors are Brian Booth, Deputy Director, US FDA, Division of Clinical Pharmacology 5, USA and Howard Hill, Group Director Pharmaceutical Development, Huntingdon Life Sciences, UK.

The Bioanalysis editorial advisory panel plays a key role in ensuring that the journal publishes the best, most current work. The panel was surveyed to find out what papers they felt were the most important or made the biggest impact in 2010. With high-quality articles, it was almost impossible to select one overall winner. The editorial board and senior editors have therefore narrowed their choices down to winner in three categories that made the biggest impact in 2010.
