Get Full Text Research (GetFTR) has announced an integration with Clarivate’s Web of Science, a publisher-neutral citation index and research intelligence platform. The collaboration introduces GetFTR’s entitlement checks, full-text indicators, and smart links into the Web of Science interface.
Through this integration, researchers will see indicators showing when full-text access is available—whether through subscriptions, open access, or free content—and will be able to access articles directly via smart links. Publishers participating in the GetFTR network will benefit from greater visibility and user engagement as their content becomes more discoverable and accessible.
What This Means for Researchers & Publishers
• For researchers: GetFTR indicators will signpost where full-text access is available (including subscribed, open access, and free content); smart links will take them directly to the content or institutional sign-in page if not already authenticated.
• For publishers: GetFTR partners, open-access publishers, and publishers with open-access content in hybrid journals will gain greater visibility and engagement as their content becomes more discoverable and accessible.
The partnership extends GetFTR’s mission to streamline discovery and access across scholarly publishing by connecting researchers to reliable full-text content at the point of need. It also reinforces transparency in the research process by supporting updates and access notifications for published content.
GetFTR collaborates with leading publishers and discovery services to improve research access and efficiency through real-time entitlement checks. The new integration broadens its reach to the global Web of Science community, supporting more seamless and trustworthy pathways to scholarly literature.
