HIMSS and Forrester have announced a research partnership to investigate the evolving digital doctor-patient relationship. The research effort will survey global health systems leaders to measure digital health technology adoption and emerging strategies for measuring and managing patient experience, as well as physician burnout, in today’s increasingly digital healthcare delivery environment. Those interested in participating in the research can visit here.
The doctor-patient experience is undergoing end-to-end digital transformation. Health systems are making increased investments in new patient engagement channels, virtual care platforms, chronic disease management solutions, and healthcare analytics solutions that have the potential to impact both clinical outcomes and the total cost of care. Little is being done, however, to measure and manage how these new technologies are impacting the doctor-patient relationship.
Results from the HIMSS-Forrester research effort will be presented at the 2020 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition. The event is scheduled for March 9 - 13, 2020 at Orlando, Florida.
