Houston's Memorial Hermann Health System opts for UpToDate Anywhere as its evidence-based clinical decision support resource -

Healthcare information provider Wolters Kluwer Health has announced that Houston's Memorial Hermann Health System has launched UpToDate® Anywhere as its evidence-based clinical decision support resource. The largest not-for-profit health system in southeast Texas, Memorial Hermann is answering the call from its 5,000 affiliated physicians for anytime, anywhere mobile access to UpToDate's comprehensive clinical content and recommendations.

Based in Houston and ranked among the top 5 large health systems in the nation, Memorial Hermann consists of 12 hospitals and numerous specialty programs and services. This includes Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, one of the nation's busiest Level I trauma centers and the primary teaching hospital for The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. The health system's affiliated physicians and clinical staff rely on UpToDate Anywhere to improve clinical decisions at the point of care.

UpToDate Anywhere provides robust tools that streamline user registration and ongoing management of mobile access to UpToDate for clinicians. CMIOs across the US and Canada are also leveraging UpToDate Anywhere to achieve workflow integration objectives by embedding UpToDate in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. As the largest not-for-profit Cerner® site in the US, plans are already underway to embed UpToDate in Memorial Hermann's Cerner EMR environment, including via HL7 Infobutton technology.
