IASP journal PAIN joins Lippincott Williams & Wilkins portfolio -

Wolters Kluwer Health, a global provider of information and point-of-care solutions for the healthcare industry, and the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) have announced an agreement to publish the association's official peer-reviewed journal, PAIN, effective with the January 2015 issue. IASP is a professional organisation for science, practice, and education in the field of pain.

PAIN will be published under the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) journal portfolio providing print, online and digital access for IASP members, individual subscribers, and institutional users globally.

The LWW publishing team will enhance PAIN's publication channels with print, online, and digital platforms. IASP members will have free mobile access to PAIN through smartphones and tablet apps. Institutional libraries affiliated with hospitals, medical schools, and corporations globally will be able to access PAIN through the Ovid medical research platform.

PAIN is the top-ranked of 29 journals in anesthesiology, as measured by Journal Citation ReportsĀ® (Thomson Reuters). In clinical neurology, it ranks in the top 7 percent of 191 journals and in the neurosciences in the top 12 percent of 251 journals. Published monthly, PAIN reaches nearly 8,000 IASP members worldwide, providing a forum for the dissemination of multidisciplinary research in the basic and clinical sciences.

Francis J. Keefe, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke University in North Carolina, is the journal's editor-in-chief.
