Technical professional association IEEE, US, and the China Communications Standards Association (CCSA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate in standards development activities. IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) and CCSA will work together to promote mutual interests and facilitate faster, better global standards development.
Under the terms of the MOU, IEEE-SA and CCSA will cooperate on standardisation efforts such as joint training and education programmes, research projects, and information sharing.
CCSA is the Chinese state-level Information Communication Technology (ICT) standards organisation with a membership of over 300 manufacturers, network operators, service providers, research bodies and academia in the communication field, which carries out research activities on information and communications technical standards. CCSA has the objective to adapt the Chinese communications market, to keep pace with global standardisation progress, to promote the activities on communications standardisation in China, and to make contributions to the global standardisation work.
