IEEE expands marketing pact with EMpact Sales to include three additional regions -

Technical professional society IEEE has announced that it has extended the territorial scope of its existing sales and marketing partnership with EMpact Sales, the publisher representation group of EBSCO Information Services. The partnership has been extended to include the Nordic region, Russia and Cuba. According to the agreement, EMpact will promote IEEE's digital subscription products, IEEE/IET Electronic Library, IEEE All-Society Periodicals Package, IEEE Conference Proceedings Order Plans, IEEE Computer Society Digital Library, IEEE Enterprise and IEEE Power & Energy Library.

For the past two years, EMpact has been handling marketing for IEEE across 40 countries. The EMpact sales team is seen to be very familiar with IEEE and well-versed about its online subscription offerings. Due to its affiliation with EBSCO, EMpact is projected to be an ideal partner for publishers who wish to expand their sales efforts and promotion of their products to additional targeted territories across the globe.

With 375,000 members across 160 countries, IEEE is projected as an authority on several areas ranging from aerospace systems, computers and telecommunications to biomedical engineering, electric power and consumer electronics. It publishes 30 percent of the world's literature in the electrical and electronics engineering and computer science fields and has developed nearly 900 active industry standards.
