Health information technology services provider Informed Decisions, LLC, a division of Gold Standard Inc., US, and Metcare of Florida, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc., have announced an agreement to deploy the former's electronic prescribing and patient care system, eMPOWERx, to physicians in Metcare's provider services network.
Under the agreement, participating physicians will utilise eMPOWERx for e-prescribing, as well as to access integrated drug information, drug-drug interaction screening tools and real-time patient medication histories. Physicians will have point-of-care access by using wireless tablet computers to connect to the secure eMPOWERx website.
