IntechOpen, an open access publisher, has reaffirmed its commitment to Research4Life, highlighting the importance of equitable access to knowledge in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. This recommitment comes in light of a recent UN report indicating that global progress towards these goals is insufficient, with only six years remaining to meet the 2030 deadline.
As a signatory of the United Nations SDG Publishers Compact, IntechOpen is dedicated to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable research ecosystem. The collaboration with Research4Life, which began in 2019, has focused on increasing worldwide participation in research and scholarly communications, particularly from lower-income countries. By providing an equitable platform for researchers, IntechOpen aims to broaden publishing participation and address critical societal challenges.
The partnership with Research4Life underscores the shared mission to enhance research capabilities and knowledge dissemination across the globe.
