The IP & Science business of Thomson Reuters has announced that it is working with IOP Publishing, part of the Institute of Physics, to provide its Thomson Reuters ScholarOne solution for handling the Institute's substantial increase in article submissions.
IOP Publishing has undertaken a comprehensive review of its editorial provisions in the last year. The decision to integrate ScholarOne, the industry-leading, peer-review management solution for publishers, into its submission process is in line with the company's mission to provide the best possible publishing service to its authors, referees and publishing partners.
IOP Publishing will use ScholarOne to quickly bring its communities additional functionality, such as deep links for referees and authors and improved access for board members and editors.
ScholarOne Manuscripts, a suite of tools and services from ScholarOne, will assist IOP Publishing by allowing for a more flexible approach to resource management and providing a wider variety of management options of peer review for partner titles. The solution will be implemented on a journal-by-journal basis throughout 2013.
