IOP Publishing (IOPP) has taken a significant step in advancing research integrity by integrating the Get Full Text Research (GetFTR) retraction and errata feature into its content platform, IOPscience. This new functionality aims to provide researchers with real-time updates on scientific content, reinforcing transparency and accuracy in scholarly publishing.
The integration allows retractions and corrections to be prominently displayed on article pages. When an article undergoes changes, users will now see labels such as ‘Retraction’ or ‘Update,’ which link to detailed timelines outlining the modifications. This ensures that researchers access the most current version of the content, reducing the risk of relying on outdated or incorrect information.
This move aligns with broader efforts across the academic publishing industry to enhance transparency and accountability, ensuring that corrections and retractions are communicated effectively.
