Japan Science and Technology Agency selects Thomson Reuters’ ScholarOne Manuscripts for 64 journals -

Business information provider Thomson Reuters, US, has announced that the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) has selected ScholarOne Manuscripts as a peer review workflow management system for its 64 journals.

JST reviewed multiple solutions and selected two preferred systems when it upgraded its internal system Japanese Science and Technology Information Aggregator, Electronic (J-STAGE) from J-STAGE2, a proprietary system, to J-STAGE3. ScholarOne Manuscripts was selected as a customised sub-system for integration to J-STAGE3 because of its easy to use interface and its familiarity among Japanese researchers, who are currently using it for their submissions to other leading journals worldwide.

J-STAGE is maintained by JST incorporated administrative agency to enable scholarly journals from Japanese societies to be transformed into online journals to support their information distribution. These online journals are accessible to researchers from any part of the world and the published manuscripts are cross-linked to various online journal sites overseas such as ChemPort, PubMed and CrossRef.

ScholarOne Manuscripts is a web-based peer review and submission application for scholarly publishers. It automates the manuscript submission process, allowing for easy administration, editing and review of manuscripts, abstracts, proceedings, books, grants and awards and production.
