The UK's JISC Advance has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (NIACE) in a bid to further its work with adult learning providers. The memorandum sets out how the two organisations will work together to raise the quality of learning experiences for adults across the nation.
According to JISC Advance, the two parties already share a common commitment to ensure that adult learning, and access to it, is enhanced and enabled through the use of technology. The new pact is expected to help create a strong synergy and ensure that even more providers benefit from the services offered under the JISC Advance banner.
By existing arrangements, the nationwide network of JISC Advance's Regional Support Centres work with NIACE to provide advice and guidance on how technology can both improve the learner experience and increase efficiencies for providers. This is reportedly further enhanced by the work of the JISC Advance services, such as accessibility expert Techdis and training provider Netskills.
