Jisc, a leading digital solutions provider for education and research, has announced the renewal and expansion of its agreement with Coherent Digital for Policy Commons, a comprehensive database of cross-searchable policy documents. The renewed agreement not only ensures continued access to this invaluable resource but also introduces new modules to enhance research capabilities, all while maintaining affordable pricing for UK institutions.
Policy Commons aggregates 11.6 million documents from a diverse range of sources, including think tanks, intergovernmental organizations (IGOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and governmental entities at various levels. This extensive collection makes Policy Commons the most comprehensive policy database globally, with hundreds of new reports added hourly.
Despite the database's exponential growth and expanded source list, Coherent Digital has committed to offering Policy Commons at the same affordable rates negotiated with Jisc in 2021. Additionally, three new modules—World Cities, North American City Reports, and World Governments—have been introduced as optional additions to the agreement for 2024-2026.
The renewed agreement, effective from April 2024, benefits all participating Jisc member institutions and affiliated researchers, providing them with comprehensive access to Policy Commons' wealth of policy documents.
For more information, purchase details, and access to the database, interested parties are encouraged to visit the Policy Commons website or contact sales@coherentdigital.net. This partnership underscores Jisc's commitment to empowering research and education through accessible and innovative digital solutions.
