STM publisher Springer has announced that it will publish the Journal of NeuroVirology (JNV), a publication closely affiliated with the International Society for NeuroVirology, starting January 2011. Previously published by Taylor & Francis/Informa, the five-year contract with Springer runs to 2015.
A bi-monthly publication, the Journal of NeuroVirology publishes basic science and clinical studies on the molecular biology and pathogenesis of viral infections of the nervous system, and reports on the development of novel therapeutic strategies using neurotropic viral vectors. The journal also focuses on articles covering non-viral infections that affect the central nervous system. Original research articles, reviews, case reports and coverage of scientific meetings are included.
Professor Kamel Khalili, Chair of the Department of Neuroscience at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, USA, will serve as the editor-in-chief of the journal.
