Journal of Pharmacy Practice becomes official journal of NYSCHP -

Academic publisher SAGE has announced that, beginning November 2008, the Journal of Pharmacy Practice (JPP) will become the official journal of the New York State Council of Health-system Pharmacists (NYSCHP). As part of the new agreement, the society's former journal New York State Journal of Health-System Pharmacist (NYSJHP) will merge with JPP.

The Journal of Pharmacy Practice offers practicing pharmacists in-depth, useful reviews of new drugs, new therapies, pharmacokinetics, drug administration, and adverse drug reactions. Each informative, guest-edited issue focuses on a vital theme in current pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical care, presenting important peer-reviewed articles assessing issues arising from today's constantly changing health-care environment. The new, merged format will include an addition of two to three NYSJHP articles in each issue of JPP.

The Journal of Pharmacy Practice, now containing NYSJHP content, seeks to offer practicing pharmacist topical, important, and useful information to support pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical care and expand the pharmacist's professional horizons. The journal is presented in a single-topic, scholarly review format.
