Karger Publishers acquires substantial minority shares of Quertle -

Medical and scientific publishing company Karger Publishers recently acquired a substantial minority of the shares of Quertle, Inc., headquartered in Henderson, in a move to strengthen Karger's position as an innovative and reliable partner for the health sciences research community. Quertle will continue to develop and market advanced knowledge tools for companies, research institutions and publishers in the health sciences space. Karger will support Quertle in strategic product development, marketing and distribution. In order to ensure utmost protection of proprietary data and trade secrets of Quertle's customers, Quertle will remain an independently operating entity. The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Quertle is an award-winning analytics company that has developed the first biomedical-specific AI Big Data Visual Analytics Engine. Founded by Jeffrey Saffer and Vicki Burnett in 2008, Quertle provides integrated discovery from research sources for the health sciences community. Rather than relying on metadata, Quertle uses Artificial Intelligence, including neural networks and other modern technologies, to analyse document text directly. This enables more effective and powerful discovery that immediately finds relevant results.
