Karger Publishers has announced an extended partnership with Brazil’s Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), granting access to the full Karger Journal Collection for researchers at over 260 higher education institutions across the country. This new five-year agreement builds on more than 15 years of collaboration between Karger and Portal de Periódicos CAPES, offering an expanded scope of resources for the Brazilian academic community.
Through this agreement, researchers affiliated with participating institutions will have unlimited access to Karger’s collection, which spans over 100 high-impact journals in 40 medical specialties. This includes a wealth of original, clinical, translational, and basic research publications. Brazilian experts are also actively involved in Karger’s editorial process as editors and peer reviewers, and more than 50 leading international scientific societies are affiliated with the journals.
To maximize engagement, Karger has launched an Engagement Hub for users, which consolidates training materials, calls for papers, tutorials, and freely available resources on scientific publishing. This initiative aims to equip researchers with tools and knowledge, fostering greater collaboration and productivity in the scientific community.
The partnership marks a significant step forward in making cutting-edge medical and scientific research more accessible to Brazilian scholars, supporting CAPES's ongoing mission to enhance higher education and research excellence in Brazil.
