Karger Publishers expands access to medical ebooks in France -

Karger Publishers has expanded its medical eBook collection under the French national license, adding 38 new titles through an agreement with the GIS CollEx-Persée acquisitions program. This initiative, led by Université Paris Cité, Université Toulouse III-Paul Sabatier, and Abes, with the support of the Couperin.org consortium and INIST-CNRS, enhances access to Karger’s extensive medical literature for higher education and research institutions across France.

The updated collection now includes 171 medical eBooks, covering titles published between 2020 and 2023. These newly available resources augment the 133 eBooks previously acquired from Karger’s 2015-2019 medical collection. French institutions, including the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, now have perpetual access to this expanded body of medical knowledge on the Karger platform.

This agreement marks an important step in broadening access to high-quality medical content. It will support the scientific research community in France by providing uninterrupted access to essential medical literature.
