Knovel expands customer base across EMEA -

Queen Mary, University of London, The University of Southampton and The University of the West of England are among a growing number of Universities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which over the last six months have added Knovel to their engineering and science reference libraries. Knovel is a Web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools.

In 2011, Knovel established a UK based team to support academic and corporate customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). With Knovel students can conduct research, select materials, manipulate graphs, charts and equations to find answers, improve processes and document project plans. It offers validated technical references across 28 subject areas; content is aggregated from more than 90 trusted sources, including professional societies and publishers.

Knovel is used by universities of all sizes. The new customers in mainland Europe include Switzerland's The Library for the Research Institutes (Swiss Federal Institute for Aquatic Research, Paul Scherrer Institute, Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, The Snow and Landscape Research and Swiss Federal Institute for Materials Science and Technology). Poland's Maritime University of Szczecin and The State School of Higher Education in Chełm are also new customers as is The Czech Technical University and Kazakhstan's Nazarbayev University.

Saudi Arabia's King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology and King Abdul Aziz University have added Knovel to their resources as have The University of Cape Town and The University of Witwatersrand in South Africa.
