Knovel to offer 37 SME publications under Manufacturing Engineering Subject Area -

Web-based application provider Knovel, US, has teamed up with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) to offer 37 SME publications through Knovel’s new Manufacturing Engineering Subject Area. SME is projected as a premier source for manufacturing knowledge, education and networking. Knovel’s web-based application seeks to integrate technical information with analytical and search tools to drive innovation and deliver answers engineers can trust.

The latest partnership is expected to give Knovel expanded coverage on topics such as manufacturing processes, die design, materials forming and maintenance of machines. Knovel, which launched its Manufacturing Engineering subject area in June, is seen to offer SME an opportunity to extend its publications’ reach further into the corporate engineering community.

With Knovel, SME can offer resources not only to manufacturing engineers, but also to mechanical engineers who need to consider manufacturing processes in an integrated design environment. This information sharing potential is said to be a crucial benefit as engineers work to build better products.

Knovel partners with more than 90 societies and publishers worldwide in a bid to ensure engineers have access to trusted sources of technical content across 29 engineering subject areas.
