The first two IntechOpen books in partnership with Knowledge Unlatched (KU) have been published. They are the first of a series in the engineering sciences and focus on energy systems. The collaboration was announced in September 2018 and extended in early 2019 to cover additional books in the physical sciences.
The KU crowd funding model raises publishing costs through libraries around the world and article processing charges (APC’s) will not be required from the authors. Innovation in Energy Systems - New Technologies for Changing Paradigms, and Advanced Communication and Control Methods for Future Smartgrids are both edited by Dr. Taha Selim Ustun of the prestigious Fukushima Renewable Energy Institute in Japan.
The collaboration between KU and IntechOpen extends over three years and covers engineering and physical sciences, attracting more natural scientists to the benefits of Open Access book publishing.
Authors are encouraged to submit a chapter to the KU funded titles that are currently open for submission at https://www.intechopen.com/sponsorship or contact IntechOpens Editorial Director Peter Mitchell to discuss submissions or for more information
