LibLynx has integrated data from theIPregistry.org into its Identity & Access solution to enable publishers to automatically maintain registered IP addresses. The enhanced service launched on the new De Gruyter publishing platform in October 2021.
De Gruyter was facing a significant challenge in migrating and cleaning up customer account data from their legacy publishing platform. They wanted to reduce the manual effort invested in account maintenance and improve access for subscribers, while minimising unauthorised access.
The enhanced service allows LibLynx customers to automatically match customer accounts to organizations in theIPregistry.org and use their verified IP addresses to authenticate access to services. The integration ensures that updates to IP addresses are automatically applied and includes support for both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
