Atypon, a provider of software to the scientific and scholarly publishing industry, has announced that Liverpool University Press (LUP) has signed an agreement with Atypon for Literatum to power their online content delivery. Liverpool University Press chose the Literatum platform to manage, deliver and monetise their content and provide more valuable features to librarians and readers.
Atypon announced the acquisition of Metapress, Liverpool University Press's former hosting provider, in April 2014. Liverpool University Press is one of many Metapress clients taking advantage of the opportunity to transition to Literatum, the most technologically advanced platform in the industry. They join over 200 publishers who are publishing more than 6500 journals, 100,000 books, and 17 million articles on Literatum today.
